Dress should be respectful to cultural differences and both males and females should not reveal too much “skin”. As we will be travelling through the Indian countryside, where many people are not used to tourists and are often curious about visitors, please be prepared to be stared at. Women should dress modestly; a headscarf is useful. Long baggy shorts for men and women, or medium length skirts for women are acceptable.

During the later months, October to February, warm clothes (in subdued colours) are required for dawn and dusk jeep safaris in wildlife sanctuaries. When going ashore, guests should use easily removable footwear for visiting holy sites. The Sun Deck is ideal for sunbathing in hot weather, but please make sure you are not visible from the shore if you are not suitably covered up.
