Working for Noble Caledonia
Noble Caledonia was established in 1991 and is privately owned. We have two offices located in Belgravia, London with around 65 office staff and 100+ staff working in the field.
We specialize in small ship cruising and own three cruise ships as well as chartering a substantial amount of vessels. We are the UK’s foremost expedition cruise operator, but also work with many other small cruise ships and cover a major part of the river cruise market. In order to offer our clients a complete programme, we also operate a select number of unusual land based tours, focusing on history, culture, music, train journeys and the natural world. The majority of our products are classified as 4 Star, though we do cover a range from 3-5 Star. In total we offer around 300 products and cover most of the globe.
We pride ourselves in offering our clients a much more personal service than the larger tour operators with their call centres and demanding sales targets. Our travel consultants have an in depth product knowledge and each is responsible for their own selection of tours. This allows clients to deal with one person throughout their booking and gives the travel consultant the satisfaction of following the booking from point of sale through to departure. We strongly believe that this system benefits both client and employee.
All of our cruises and tours are destination driven and our ships and escorted tour groups are small. As part of the Field Staff team, Guest Speakers share their knowledge and expertise which enhances the journey making it worthwhile and educational whilst still being relaxing and comfortable.
Our Office Staff
As an employer, it is our philosophy that people working in a comfortable and friendly environment, whose input affects the day to day running of the company, will be the most productive. Therefore we aim to be as flexible as possible and to consult with staff members on a regular basis. We don’t operate a highly pressured sales environment as we believe our product to be the best in the market place and often unique.
Rather, by having happy and long serving employees with a wealth of product knowledge, our clients will choose us for the service we can provide and will keep returning to us. All staff are treated equally and discrimination, on any grounds, is actively discouraged.
We offer competitive rates of pay, discretionary profit related bonus, company pension plan, private healthcare, season ticket loan, travel opportunity (depending on role).
