
Dallas Campbell
Presenter, writer and live host, Dallas Campbell is on a mission to take science and technology out of the lab and into people’s lives. In 2017 Dallas received the prestigious Sir Arthur Clarke Award for his work in the popularising of space science, history and education to a wide audience. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the British Science Association. Dallas will be familiar to many and is the face of some of the television’s highest profile factual programmes for the BBC and Discovery Channel including The Sky at Night, Science of Stupid, Bang goes the Theory, Stargazing Live, Supersized Earth, The Treasure Hunters and City in the Sky. Off camera Dallas hosts the Patented podcast which explores the history of inventions and the In-Orbit podcast series which looks at how new space technologies are wildly re-shaping our world. As a passionate STEM ambassador, Dallas is involved with many science outreach initiatives to inspire young minds to think creatively about technology. His book Ad Astra: An Illustrated Guide to Leaving the Planet explores the amazing history of human spaceflight. Dallas has also contributed to the book Aliens: Is There Anyone Out There? edited by Jim Al Khalili, and his writing has graced the pages of many esteemed publications like the BBC’s Sky At Night and Science Focus magazines and t he Observer/ Guardian Newspaper.
