Ghislaine Howard
Ghislaine Howard is internationally recognised as a painter of powerful and expressive means, whose art charts and interprets shared human experience. Named as a Woman of the Year 2008 for her contribution to art and society, she has published and exhibited widely and has work in many public and private collections, including Manchester Art Gallery, The Whitworth Art Gallery and the Royal Collection.
Exhibitions of her work have taken place at numerous prestigious venues including Manchester Art Gallery, Canterbury Cathedral, Imperial War Museum North and the British Museum.
She is an experienced and popular lecturer bringing to her chosen subjects her own passion for painting and a lived understanding of what it is to be an artist. She has lectured to a wide variety of audiences and as a registered Arts Society lecturer has travelled widely giving lecture tours in Australia, New Zealand and Spain as well as throughout the UK.
She is currently working with Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce on a permanent but changing exhibition of her work at their headquarters on Deansgate in Manchester.
