Christopher Joll

Christopher Joll was educated at Oxford University and the RMA Sandhurst. He was commissioned into The Life Guards in 1968 and served four tours of duty in Northern Ireland. He left the army in 1975. After 25 years in business, Christopher turned to devising, writing and directing major national & royal military events for charities. He is currently working on two major events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1918 Armistice.

As an author Christopher’s books include Uniquely British: A Year in the Life of the Household Cavalry with a foreword by HM The Queen. While he continues to write and publish a series of 19th & 20th century military-historical/action-adventure ‘faction’ stories known collectively as The Speedicut Papers, he is also researching and writing a series of illustrated factual books.  The first, Britannia’s Spoils, focuses on the spoils of war held in British royal, national, military and private collections and is due for publication in 2017/18.
