Nina Herbert
Nina is a passionate marine conservationist and expedition guide dedicated to studying and protecting our ocean environment. With extensive experience aboard expedition and classic cruise ships, her work has taken her across the globe. She has conducted cetacean research in the Arctic, Antarctic, and the North and South Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, with Hawaii and Antarctica being her favourite locations for studying whale behaviour.
A geographer and ecologist by training, Nina pursued her love for nature at the University of Leeds, specialising in geomorphology. After graduating, she immersed herself in marine conservation, volunteering with various UK marine charities. When she’s not onboard, she can be found navigating a research RIB around killer whales for the Icelandic Orca Project in Vestmannaeyjar, South Iceland. Nina is committed to inspiring people from all backgrounds through citizen science and hopes to continue contributing to marine conservation while exploring the world!
