
Gary Pearcey
Gary served in the Royal Marines Commandos for 22years. Originally from Portsmouth, he now lives in Plymouth. He has been a professional scuba diver for over 30 years, starting as a military diver then moving on to become a BSAC, PADI and TDI mixed gas instructor. Working at the Joint Services Diving Centre Fort Bovisand, Plymouth.
His passion for the underwater world has led him to dive in various places including Norway, Bali, Belize, Australia, Philippines, Maldives, Guam, Palau and Yap. He is a member of the Shark Trust and Shark Aware Project. Since leaving the Marines he has worked in the Private Close Protection Security Sector for high profile clients in Iraq and Nigeria. More recently working in the Maritime Security Industry and has significant experience particularly in relation to pirate activity off the coast of Somalia. When not diving or driving Zodiacs he runs his own Rib Charter/Safari Business in Plymouth experiencing the beautiful Devon and Cornish Coastline. Also working part time for the Plymouth Harbour Commissions on the Pilot Boats.
