Paul Carter
Whilst at school in SE London, as a 15 year old and inspired by his maternal Grandmother’s travels, Paul already knew that he too wanted to travel and, having looked at career options, decided that a life ‘at sea’ would provide ample travel opportunities. After qualifying in Hotel & Catering Management, his early employment was in the hotel & catering industry in both the UK and Caribbean. However, in the early 80s the chance to go to sea came his way and, now in his fourth decade in the travel industry, and having led numerous land, river and sea trips, he has been to all seven continents, has visited over 140 countries and still loves the challenges and rewards that a career in travel has brought him. With an enduring passion for seeing and learning about as much of the world as possible, and in meeting like-minded people, Paul knows how lucky he is to still be doing what he thought he wanted to do as a 15 year old. Just don’t ask him to name his favourite country!
