Malta Marriott Resort & Spa

The base for our week-long exploration of Malta is the Marriott Resort & Spa, a five-star property located just moments from the warm sands of Balluta Beach, in vibrant St Julian’s, and adjacent to a seafront promenade. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the Sliema waterfront, perfect for an evening stroll, while a short drive takes you to Valletta, Malta’s UNESCO-listed capital and cultural hub. The resort combines luxurious charm with the relaxed atmosphere of a Mediterranean spa, offering modern interiors with local touches inspired by Maltese crafts and the heritage of Balluta Bay.

    The Cala Lido features a large pool, spacious lounge areas, and a bar set within beautifully landscaped gardens, while the Sundeck heated pool provides an additional spot for relaxation. Perhaps treat yourself at the Myoka Lotus Spa, which includes an indoor pool, fitness centre, squash court, and a variety of beauty treatments and relaxing massages. 24 hour room service is available, or you can dine at one of the four on-site restaurants. Here you can enjoy the delicious Mediterranean cuisine, from perfectly grilled seafood, dry-aged meats and pasta creations, to delightful fusion dishes and seasonal buffets. The hotel also has a fully equipped gym.

    The spacious rooms are expertly designed with modern furnishings and sleek parquet floors. Each room measures approximately 34 square metres and includes a sitting area, Wi-Fi, coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryer, safe, and satellite television. The beds can be configured as either one king-size bed or two queen-size beds. The Superior Rooms are en-suite, with bath and shower, and have a balcony with a land view. The Deluxe Sea View Rooms are en-suite, with bath and shower, and include a balcony with a sea view.

    If you wish to contact the hotel please call +356 2311 000. This is a Malta number so calls are charged at an international rate. There is a phone in your room, which has access to an outside line. You can make room-to-room calls free of charge.

    DIETARY REQUIREMENTS 
    If you have any dietary requirements such as vegetarian, low salt, gluten free and low cholesterol, please notify the Reservations Department at Noble Caledonia. We regret that not all dietary requests can be guaranteed. If you have any specific or special foods that you require we recommend that you bring some with you although we will endeavour to accommodate your needs.

    DINING & DRINKING 
    Breakfast is served daily at the Marketplace Restaurant from 6:30 to 10:30 am. The Marketplace Restaurant is also open for buffet dinner from 7:00 to 10:30 pm. All day dining is offered at the Atrio Bar and Restaurant from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm with the option to sit on the outdoor terrace overlooking the bay. 24 hour room service is also available.     DRESS CODE 
    Dining venues at the hotel require smart casual attire. Shorts are generally permitted in the restaurants, but vests and sandals are not allowed.

    ELECTRICITY 
    Malta uses the same 3 pin plug sockets as the UK and standard voltage is 220V.

    EMERGENCY PROCEDURES 
    In the unlikely event that an emergency should occur during your stay, we ask that you remain calm and follow the instructions of the staff. We request that as soon as you enter your room, you carefully read the safety instructions fixed on the inside of your hotel room door.

    END OF STAY QUESTIONNAIRE 
    We are always looking for ways to improve our holidays and the services provided and in order to do this we welcome feedback from our guests. Your comments are important to us therefore we request that you complete the questionnaire that will be provided to you by your Tour Manager.

    LIFTS 
    All rooms and public areas at the hotel are accessible by lift.

    LOST PROPERTY 
    Before you check out, please check your hotel room to ensure you do not leave anything behind. If you discover you have left any items behind, please contact Noble Caledonia directly. If we are able to recover your item(s) we will contact you to arrange delivery or collection, and to advise of any associated costs.

    ROOM ACCOUNT 
    All guests will have their own “room account” once credit card details have been given to Reception on arrival which allows you to sign for any expenses and then settle your bill at the Reception Desk at the end of your stay. Prices are shown and charged in Euros. Your room account can be paid by credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or cash (Euros).

    There are two outdoor swimming pools. The Sundeck has a heated pool located on the roof of the hotel. The Cala Lido has a spacious pool nestled within manicured gardens.

    Water from the taps in your room is safe to drink.

    WI-FI
