Noble Caledonia Charitable Trust
Supporting Future Hope Kolkata
In 2013 we established the Noble Caledonia Charitable Trust whose aim is to provide a platform to create awareness, raise money and deliver funding to carefully selected projects in order to make a positive difference in countries in which we operate.
The charity has proudly supported a vast array of initiatives since its establishment including the rebuilding of communities in the Philippines and the Caribbean following tropical storm damage; building and resourcing schools in the Philippines and Melanesia; vocation training in Cambodia and long-running support of Future Hope, a truly heart-warming children’s charity in Calcutta.
Closer to home we have helped restore the pier on St Kilda following storm damage and infrastructure to help support small communities on the Hebrides, while the wide array of environmental projects have ranged from the development of a whale watching awareness training programme and coral reef restoration training workshops to supporting the yellow-eyed penguin in New Zealand, the Magpie Robin in the Seychelles, mangrove reforestation in Madagascar and a clean-up of the main turtle breeding beaches on Aldabra.
Whilst we were unable to operate during the pandemic we supported (and continue to support) a number of projects via our Covid Support Fund in Cambodia, India and Madagascar. Most recently, a Ukraine Relief Fund was set up to assist Aid for Refugees which offers direct support to refugees and financial support for other NGOs, businesses and individuals working with refugees at the border and in nearby transit cities. The Trust has also begun fundraising for the Earthquake Appeal in Syria.
