The Jasmine is the ideal vessel from which to explore the emerald waters and tiny islets of Halong Bay. Built in the style of a classic Vietnamese junk, with decor from the Indochina era, she has a wonderful understated elegance. Accommodating a maximum of 46 guests, this charming vessel features a range of comfortable cabins and whether you join a morning Tai Chi class or simply enjoy breakfast whilst admiring the passing scenery, you will appreciate the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere on board.

    Superior Cabins: Located on the Main Deck, measuring 16m2, these cabins offer traditional wood-panelled decor and panoramic French-style windows. There are 12 Superior Cabins in total, 10 of which are twin bedded and two are double bedded.

    Deluxe Cabins: Located on the Upper Deck, measuring 18m2 including a 4m2 balcony with seating, these cabins feature a classic and elegant design with wood finishings and traditional Vietnamese paintings. There are nine Deluxe Cabins in total, two of which are twin bedded and seven are double bedded.

    Junior Suites: The two suites are located on the Upper Deck and measure 24m2 including a 4m2 private balcony with seating. In each of the suites, the en-suite bathroom has its own Jacuzzi.

    The Restaurant features a beautiful combination of Asian and Vietnamese decor and meals are taken in an open seating arrangement to allow you to mingle with your fellow travellers. Fine Vietnamese and international cuisine is served as a set menu or as a buffet and there is a daily evening barbecue on the Terrace Deck (weather permitting).

    We are delighted you will be joining us aboard both The Jahan and the Jasmine for our ‘Passage along the Mekong’ itinerary which includes two nights in Halong Bay in October 2019.

    The Jahan, named after the Indian Emperor Shah Jahan, offers 26 spacious and beautifully designed cabins, each with its own private balcony. The vessel offers all the amenities of a luxury resort including a stately restaurant, in-and outdoor lounges, pool, fitness room, steam bath and an excellent spa. The atmospheric East India Club Lounge is the perfect spot to unwind with a cool beverage and catch up with your fellow travellers about the day’s events.

    ONBOARD PAYMENTS

    Vietnam’s currency is the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and this is the official currency on board . You will be given a personal ship board account which allows you to sign for all purchases and services throughout your cruise. Your ship board account will be automatically opened upon check in. All bills will be charged in VND / USD by cash or credit card (American Express, Master Card or Visa). Please note that only bills exceeding USD25 can be settled by credit card. Traveller’s cheques are not accepted. Your provisional account will be presented for your review the evening prior to your departure.

    The daily programme is printed on board and delivered to your suite each evening during dinner. It provides details of the following day’s programme, meal times and other activities, as well as interesting and helpful information about your next port of call.

    DRESS CODE

    The dress code on board is casual and comfortable by day and smart casual in the evenings for dinner. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes for shore excursions.

    ELECTRICITY

    The voltage in Vietnam officially 220/50Hz. 

    FIRST AID

    The vessel is equipped with key medical supplies and all senior staff members and a number of the crew are fully trained and certified to provide first aid. In the event of serious illness or accidents, further medical assistance can be sought from the nearest hospital.

    The Restaurant features a beautiful combination of Asian and Vietnamese decor and meals are taken in an open seating arrangement to allow you to mingle with your fellow travellers.     SAFETY ON BOARD

    The ship is fitted with smoke detectors, fire alarms, extinguishers and life rafts. Alarms are situated along all decks and fire extinguishers are located at regular intervals around the decks. Life jackets are available in all cabins, on top of the wardrobe.

    SMOKING

    Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. It is forbidden to smoke in your cabin and in all indoor public areas.

    WATER

    Please do not drink the tap water. We recommend using it only for washing purposes and for brushing teeth. Complimentary water bottles are available in your cabin and jugs of drinking water are available at all outlets and during meals.

    WI-FI

    There is no Wi-Fi available aboard the vessel.
