Amadeus Silver II
The Amadeus Silver II is the sister vessel to the Amadeus Silver, which was built in 2013 and served as a conceptual design for the Amadeus Silver II. The Amadeus Silver was nominated ‘River Boat of the Year 2013’ by the renowned German ‘Kreuzfahrt Guide’ and continues to receive extremely favourable comments from those who sail upon her. The Amadeus Silver II has been designed to be an even more comfortable and luxurious version of her sister ship, whilst incorporating many of the facilities that have been so well received aboard the Amadeus Silver, including its ‘Café Vienna’ and outdoor, glass-shielded ‘River Terrace’. Enhancements that have been made include larger public areas, cabins and bathrooms.
Meals are taken in the Amadeus Silver II’s single sitting restaurant on the Strauss deck. The restaurant seats all passengers in an open seat arrangement and the style of food served is a mixture of regional and European dishes. Mornings feature fruits, pastries and breads, yogurts, cereals, with both cooked and specialty items. Lunches will include a soup, salad options and hot dishes including meats, fish and vegetarian options. Dinners are a served, four-course affair and will also include vegetarian, fish and meat options. Special dietary needs can be met with advance notice. In addition to the specially arranged cocktail receptions, wine, beers and soft drinks are included as part of both the lunch and dinner service.
The ship is bright, airy and comfortable and the atmosphere onboard informal, yet with close attention to detail. The friendly crew will do their utmost to ensure your stay is enjoyable, informative and agreeable throughout. During the day, comfortable and casual attire is appropriate. In the evenings you may wish to wear something more formal, especially for the Welcome, Farewell and New Year Gala dinners (for example, a jacket and tie for gentlemen and a dress or skirt/trousers and a blouse for ladies).
Your Cabin / Suite
The 84 cabins are located across three of the vessel’s four decks and all are outside facing. All cabins are ensuite and are either in fixed twin or queen size bed configuration. Cabins are fitted with a flat-screen television, generous closet space, hairdryer, safe, telephone and individually adjustable climate control system. The vessel’s suites which measure a generous 284 square feet, feature a walk-out exterior balcony with outdoor seating, with the remaining Mozart and Strauss Deck cabins featuring a French Balcony whilst cabins located on the Haydn Deck have fixed windows.
Spread over four decks, the ship’s public spaces include the elegant Panorama restaurant which accommodates all guests in one sitting. The ‘Café Vienna’ and outdoor glass-shielded ‘River Terrace’ are delightful and pleasant spaces for relaxation as is the ship’s bar. The Sun Deck includes its own bar, golf putting green and giant chess board, while other features of the ship include a massage and fitness room, shop, hairdresser, business/internet centre and lift serving all decks other than the Sun Deck.
