Important Note: 2019 - Novel Coronavirus

If you have made a holiday booking with us, in the event that the UK Foreign Office (‘FCO’) advises against travel to any of the destinations (including flight transit destinations, where appropriate) that you are due to visit on your holiday, we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the impact that this will have on your holiday. Similarly and in relation to cruise holiday bookings in particular, if the governments of any of the destinations that we are due to visit put in place shipping restrictions that prevent passenger vessels from docking, we will contact you to inform you of this and of the impact that this will have on your holiday. Our website will be updated regularly and any alterations made to our holiday programmes arising from the FCO’s coronavirus-related travel warnings and/or from shipping restrictions will be reflected in the itineraries that we display on our website.

Please be advised that the governments of many countries have recently put in place entry restrictions that affect passengers who are arriving from or who have recently visited mainland China (as well as Macau and Hong Kong in some cases). Similarly, in line with industry best practice, many cruise vessels (including all vessels operated by Noble Caledonia) have implemented health screening protocols that are designed to minimise the possibility of coronavirus being brought on board (which, in turn, will hopefully help to arrest the spread of coronavirus generally). These protocols involve but are not limited to:

  • The completion of a special health and fitness questionnaire by every passenger, which must be submitted prior to embarkation.
  • Heightened ship sanitisation protocols.
  • Deny boarding to all persons who have travelled from, visited or transited via airports in China, including Hong Kong and Macau, within 14 days before embarkation. 
  • Deny boarding to all persons who, within 14 days before embarkation, have had close contact with, or helped care for, anyone suspected or diagnosed as having Coronavirus, or who is currently subject to health monitoring for possible exposure to Novel Coronavirus. 

If you have made a holiday booking with us, you may be asked to complete a special health questionnaire prior to the commencement of your holiday. Where this is the case, we will send your questionnaire to you along with instructions on how and when to submit your questionnaire when we send your final travel documents to you approximately three weeks prior to departure. If you believe that you will or are likely to be barred embarkation or if you believe that your participation in your holiday might for any other reason be affected by the outbreak of coronavirus, please do not hesitate to contact us.
