Built in 2000 and recently refurbished in 2011, the 158 passenger MS Michelangelo is a charming vessel, ideal for exploring Venice and the River Po. To ensure the ship’s public areas feel spacious and never overcrowded, Noble Caledonia limit passenger numbers aboard the MS Michelangelo to 120. She is an ideal vessel for taking in the breathtaking sights of northern Italy’s unique waterways, and to our minds there is no better way to appreciate La Serenissima than by this boutique Italian river ship
The cabins are spread across the Main and Upper decks, and all are outside facing. All cabins are located above water level affording outside views from the large picture windows, and natural light within the cabins. All cabins are fitted with a bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC and measure approximately 11 square metres. Cabins are either in a double or twin configuration. All cabins have air conditioning and are equipped with hairdryer, satellite TV, radio and safe.
Spread over three decks, the onboard facilities include a delightful restaurant which accommodates all guests in one sitting. The Lounge is a pleasant space for relaxation with large panoramic windows creating a bright and airy ambience. Also in the Lounge is a large TV and bar area accessible from the ship’s reception area. On the large, spacious Sun deck you will find comfortable deck furniture where you can relax in the shade or enjoy the pleasant Italian weather. The onboard shop sells postcards, stamps, souvenirs and practical items.
Meals are taken in the MS Michelangelo’s bright and airy, single sitting restaurant on the Upper deck. The restaurant seats all passengers in an open seat arrangement and tables are arranged to seat groups of four to eight, with most tables seating six. Breakfast is served buffet-style and features both hot and cold dishes, lunch is either served or buffet style and dinner is served to your table. Cuisine focuses on regional specialties and international dishes. House wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner are included in your holiday price as are tea and coffee which are available throughout the day on a self-serve basis and also with meals.
Special dietary requests such as vegetarian, low salt and low cholesterol should be made to Noble Caledonia (in writing) in advance. However, we recommend that you contact your cruise Director or Tour Managers once on board to reconfirm such requests. We regret that the ship is unable to guarantee special requests and is not equipped to prepare or serve kosher or halal cuisine.
The MS Michelangelo is the ideal ship for exploring Venice and the river Po. There are many splendid hotels in Venice, but being a water city this floating hotel will be a great advantage. The ship is comfortable and the atmosphere onboard informal. The friendly crew will do their utmost to ensure your stay is enjoyable, informative and agreeable throughout.
During the day, comfortable and casual attire is appropriate, whereas in the evenings the dress code is smart casual. There will be Welcome and Farewell dinners aboard, and for these events you may like to bring something a little dressier; gentlemen may wish to wear a jacket and tie and ladies a dress. No black tie is necessary.
For your comfort
