In April 2006, Paul Mildon, a member of staff from Noble Caledonia
travelled to Sri Lanka with his cricket team on a sponsored fund-raising
tour. Paul was able to deliver a donation from Noble Caledonia to
those people on the coastline of Sri Lanka still recovering from
the effects of the Tsunami. The money donated by Noble Caledonia
helped to buy uniforms and books for school children, sewing machines
for local woman whose originals had been destroyed by the tsunami
as well as fishing boats and nets for local fisherman.
The tour was arranged in conjunction with the charity Sri Lanka
Direct who deal directly with trusted Sri Lankans and have volunteers
who deliver aid direct to refugee camps, schools, fishing villages
and communities. Sri
