Accommodating a maximum of 111 passengers, the vessel was launched in 1993 and last renovated in 2005/2006, offering spacious and comfortable accommodation and facilities.
The 62 cabins are spacious, attractively furnished and all have large opening windows, a double bed (cabins 133 and 134 have twin beds), radio, TV, hairdryer, individually controlled air-conditioning, safety deposit box, mini-bar, telephone and a private shower and toilet. Categories 1, 2 and 3 cabins measure 11.6 square metres. The two suites are larger at 17.6 square metres and have a large panoramic window and queen size bed. Category 4 cabins are singles and measure just over 10 square metres, also with an opening window.
The MS Swiss Pearl's public areas are both elegantly furnished and spacious throughout. The Panorama lounge on the Ruby deck is a relaxing environment to watch the passing scenery, browse the library or enjoy a drink from the bar. It is here that the resident pianist will delight you after a day of exploration. On the sun deck, you can relax in the comfortable deck furniture either in the sun or under shade. Other facilities on board include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, solarium, and a whirlpool on the extensive Sun Deck.
FOR YOUR COMFORT, SAFETY AND SECURITY
There is no doctor onboard, however crew members are trained in first aid and always available and medical personnel can be summoned aboard quickly in the case of an emergency. There is a limited laundry service available and smoking is strictly prohibited except in the designated outside areas on the Sun deck.
The spacious free seating restaurant accommodates all guests in one sitting. For breakfast there is a hot and cold buffet with a choice of eggs,meat, pastries, cereals, yoghurt and fruit. Lunch includes two or three courses served to your table along with a buffet selection of breads, salad, cheese and fruit. Dinner is full table service.
The friendly onboard crew of 26 will provide you with excellent service and will make every effort to contribute to your enjoyment throughout your journey. The atmosphere on board is relaxed and informal and the Dress code during the day is comfortable and casual. The evenings are smart-casual (e.g. a shirt and trousers for gentlemen and a skirt and blouse for ladies). You will be invited to a Welcome and Farewell Gala Dinner, so you may like to bring something a little dressier for these events; gentlemen may wish to wear a jacket and tie and ladies a dress.
